 Star Power: By using mana, Dan is able to summon stars in varying shades of blue in his hands, able to go up to roughly 16in in diameter and spinning freely under his hands. He’s then able to throw them at enemies almost like a shuriken and they’ll either slash the enemy or stick into them, exploding after making contact for more than 5 seconds. If they fall or hit a wall instead they’ll still explode after the 5 seconds. He’s able to throw them about 10 yards before the stars fall to the ground. Smaller stars consume less mana and are quicker to summon, but the explosion is obviously much smaller than a larger star, that takes more mana and time to summon.

    -Smaller stars' explosions will be similar to firecrackers almost; small, quick, and damage being rather minimal by leaving at most some minor burns on the skin. The diameter for the explosion is about 8in at most. These are VERY quick to summon, up to 3 can be summoned in a single round.

    -Medium stars are more or less the same, just a bigger affected area and the burns being worse and not so easily fading. Diameter for the explosion is around 24in/2ft at best. Still fairly quick, able to summon and fire a star at 1 per round at most.

    -Larger stars have a much bigger area of affect, as well as being more explosive in which damage to where it hits, causing debree to come from walls and floors and even taking out small chunks of bodies if it's explosion is on direct contact. The burns from before are still here but with size and debris from the larger explosion it's much easier to get hit. Diameter for this explosion is 48in/4ft and any debree from the explosion can only reach about a foot more than that at best. Takes 4 full rounds to summon one star and can't be thrown until start of the 5th round.

    -Despite the size of the explosions, the size of the direct affected area/the area that'll get the most of the damage is only 1/4th of the explosion and at the center of it. ex: a large star explosion will go up to 4ft to spread any heat and minor damage but only the 1ft center of it will cause any tissue/skin loss on the body.

Minor Skill(s):

 Shifting: Dan is able to shift his legs into a mermaid tail at will. He can’t survive very long in this form outside of water though, so he tends to only use this to swim better and longer.

 Lunar Shower: As a celestial mermaid, he’s able to heal himself/regain mana by bathing in water under the shining moon. He can heal as little or as much as he needs depending on how long he stays tranquil and under the light. He’s able to regenerate mana/heal like any other hybrid but this is much quicker if the moon is out.

Dan’s mother wanted to start a new life in Magus, wanting to see a new world. Soon after she went through the portals, she considered the idea of going outside of Voxis and decided to pay some visits to the ocean for inspiration. On a trip there though she met a fish hybrid, the two hit it off for a bit and had a one night stand, the merman nowhere to be found after that day.
Despite a bit of nausea, she set sail with some willing people she’d met in her short time in Voxis. However the symptoms of pregnancy became more apparent, eventually making her trip get cut short for the sake of her and the baby’s health. The boat eventually stopped in Nageia. Dan’s birth came soon after the small group settled in a bit and going to do their own things.
The family decided to stay in Palette, going about life as normal as it could get. Dan was introduced to music at a very young age, being taught singing and taking up the guitar as well. Of course he’d have to learn his hybrid skills on his own, since his father was presumably far far away from them. But even still, the two were happy and lived peaceful lives.
But the tides quickly changed.
He was fourteen; it was a normal summer day, the mother and son taking a small trip to the edges of the region. Dan happily took this as an opportunity to stretch his tail and get a better handle on his swimming in mermaid form; however the waters had different plans for him. He swam too far from shore, and the water only pushed him further away when he tried to surface. He tried to swim back but it only seemed like he got further away.
Dan was caught in a net meant for catching some lunch and was brought onto a boat. The captain of the ship was brought over immediately to talk to the hybrid. Dan tried to explain what happened and begged for the crew to help him back to Nageia. The captain told him to relax and that the ship would help him back, however he seemed rather fatigued from all the swimming so he should rest in one of the chambers while they set sail. Dan, being way too trusting, agreed and did as he was told. After the captain brought him to a room, the crew locked the door behind them and the captain quickly used magic on Dan, the effect of it being like a strong dose of anesthesia and knocking the boy out cold.
Little did the merman know, he was brought onto the ship of a notorious band of pirates. The pirates sailed near and far, kidnapping people to be sold off on Satsuma as slaves or being prostituted. How could they refuse a pretty boy from Nageia?
Dan spent the next three years with the pirates, being forced into stranger’s beds while they got the profits. He tried to refuse and even escape, but he couldn’t overcome the crew, only going back to following their orders. The only moments of peace were the few hours between work and being dragged back to the pirate’s ship, this is where Dan tried to perfect his main skill. He’d been able to summon the stars before but never put them to real use. He didn’t want to but he had to be prepared to use force.
The conditions only got worse for Dan, the pirates tossing and pushing him around only got more forceful and painful, the amount of people he’d see in a day only increased, and he was constantly in pain. He even overheard the captain speaking with the crew about selling him off, saying he’s gotten weaker and not bringing in enough for the effort.
The band was sailing away from Sastuma, going to kidnap a replacement for Dan before they sold him off. When night fell Dan had the captain sleep with him, hoping to grab the key to his quarter’s shackles. When it was later in the night he undid the locks and began to sneak out, he was by the edge of the ship before a crew member fired a warning shot, demanding for him to get back in his room before he was killed.
This was his last chance and he quickly attacked the pirate, the noise causing more of the crew to rush out to try to kill him. Dan was somehow able to fight them all off, scratched up but victorious. He looted some healing potions and some gold from the captain’s quarters before he made his way off the ship.
He eventually reached Nageia, immediately making his way to his home. His knocks went unanswered so he did a small break in. When he looked around everything was a mess and hasn’t been touched in years. His mother was nowhere to be found and he was still alone in the world.
He started to use his musical talents on the streets to get by, eventually having a run in with a small group of hybrids around his age. They complimented his work and chatted with him for a bit, soon offering him a spot in their upcoming band and a place to crash. He accepted, a bit desperate for a place to stay.
The band members were incredibly nice and the group gained momentum with street performances, eventually getting offered gigs are local businesses and entertainment for house parties. To top it all off the band got together well and became like a family as time went on.
Eventually, Dan caught word of Enhalo, wanting to go to learn more about his powers but not wanting to leave the band. The group discussed it and decided they can all move together while Dan studied there. The band set out to Voxis and the merman immediately applied to the school.

Overview: Dan has put up with way too much in his life, but despite that he still tries to keep a happy and positive attitude. He wants to live his life to the fullest and not waste his time being upset when he’s just happy to be alive and free again.

-He’s a huge momma’s boy, or he WAS because you know, where did she gogh.

-His band is called Bermuda☆Triangle because he remembers seeing it in some of his mom’s old books from earth and it sounded cool

   -He’s the lead singer and rhythm guitarist

-His voice claim is Josh Ramsay (Marianas Trench’s lead singer….amazing)

-He’s actually Auralia’s half-brother, they share the same slut celestial mermaid dad. He doesn’t know this yet and honestly will only recognize Auralia as a fellow celestial mermaid.

-His taste in fashion is somewhat punk, matching the theme of his band since it’s basically pop-punk.

-His Stamina is really high since performing requires a lot of energy, so he needs to be able to dance and sing without breaking a sweat one song in.

-His dexterity is fairly high all for the sake of his work, being idol is suffering.
